Network Reset Guide

Network Reset on MacBook:

  1. Pull down the Wi-Fi menu and turn Wi-Fi OFF
  2. From any Finder window, hit Command+Shift+G to bring up Go to Folder, and enter the following path:
    1. /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/
  3. Locate the following files, copy them to the desktop for a backup, then delete them from the /SystemConfiguration/ folder:
    1. com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
    2. com.apple.network.identification.plist
    3. NetworkInterfaces.plist
    4. preferences.plist
  4. Empty the Trash and reboot the Mac
  5. Turn Wi-Fi back ON from the Wi-Fi menu, join your preferred network as usual

 

Network Reset on an iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select the General tab
  3. Click on Transfer or Reset iPhone
  4. Then select Reset Network Settings
  5. Confirm Network Reset

 

Network Reset on a PC:

  1. Click on the Magnifying glass on the bottom left
  2. Search for Network Status 
  3. Scroll Down to where it says Network Reset
  4. Click Network Reset 
  5. Click Reset Now
  6. Then restart the Computer

 

Network Reset on a Android:

1. Open the Settings app on your Android.

  1. Scroll to and tap either "General management" or "System," depending on what device you have.
  2. Select Reset
  3. Select “Reset Network Settings
  4. Confirm Network Reset

 

Updates on Windows:

  1. To Install updates on Windows, click on the magnifying glass or “Type here to search” box on the bottom left and search for “Check for Updates” and hit enter or click it to select it. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Click “Check for updates”  to have windows search for driver and windows updates.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. The computer may need to restart when the updates are finished.
  4. Some laptops may have driver updates available through the manufacturer’s website. 

 

Updates on Mac OS:

  1. Go to System Preferences in the Apple menu, then click on Software Update to check for updates.
  2. If any updates are available, click the update now button to install them.                                                            

3. The Mac may need to restart when updates are complete.
